With the DVDs weighing in at a total cost of precisely five pounds (bless you, sweet bargain basment), I think this may be the cheapest Movie Night ever. Then again, this could have been counterbalanced by the sky-rocketing price of cinema tickets these days.
Showing this week were Serenity, Tristan & Isolde, Prometheus and The Objective.
Everything I overheard said of Avengers Assemble said it was the best film since sliced bread. Sure, every film has at least one person who’ll swear blind it’s the greatest cinematic outing ever (indeed, I am that person for Sonic the Hedgehog: the Movie), but to garner such unanimous assent it must surely be something special.
But we all know I like to see things before I make baseless assumptions and jump to silly conclusions.
I think I have now been to the cinema more times in the last couple of months than I have in as many years.
But while I went to see John Carter and Wrath of the Titans alone because I was the only person on holiday, I went to see Battleship and The Raid with other people due to these being weekend and evening ventures respectively.
Last week, since I was on holiday the whole time and totally spent 100% of it working on Project Y4 and not playing Lego or working on LoneWiki or generally doing any other stuff at all, I decided to eat some hours by sweeping my rusty old bones to the cinema, to see John Carter in the morning of the Monday and Wrath of the Titans in the afternoon of the Friday…

Who the hell are you? I’m Jack (known online as Spiritfuryfire in some places). I have been mentioned on here several times before. Mostly in the context of having opinions on video games (I committed the heinous crime of enjoying Mass Effect 2). Or getting shitfaced and putting my head in a bin (if he ever mentioned that?).
What the hell is this? This is a review of Ironclad, which RDZ oh so subtly suggested might be forthcoming.
